oh HAI.
If AOL gets a “fuck yeah” from you, you didn’t use AOL.
Oh wow, I don’t remember ever seeing an AOL floppy, but the CDs were everywhere.
I started a massive wall art project out of the CDs, seeing they sent one like once a week. I’d stick them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, so they looked like this.
And then taped them to my bedroom wall in a grid.
I require photographic evidence!
That sounds so damn awesome..I’m not sure if such pictures exist, it’s been 10 years, and a thousand miles worth of moving. Though I have been horribly tempted to buy a big thing of blank CD’s just to redo that project.
LOL at the young buck who doesn’t remember when they used to send floppies.
This particular Old went years without having to buy her own floppies thanks to that. Just flip off the write-protect and reformat… All yours. I was actually pissed when they switched to CDs and I had to start buying my own disks.
ButahP, I’ve been stuck on this redneck relay for 20 minutes, and the guy at the computer can’t find the start button. I’ve run out of all my good boots and can use some “console assistance” please.
